[OT] JSF First Flight
Yea, its off topic, but has to do with our national security 
Today, in Fort Worth Texas, the new Joint Strike Fighter sucessfully completed its first flight test. Me, being an engineer working on the fuel control designs, got to attend a ceremony at Pratt & Whitney up in CT to watch a live video feed of this historic event. This is THE most sophisticated, kick-*** fighter jet ever constructed.
Just felt the need to share this with y'all. It was a great day, and a great success for both everyone involved in the design and production, but our country and allies as well.
Oh, and by the way... this bad boy was pulling away from the F-16 follower jets running at full afterburner without even breaking a sweat...

This one is on display in Ottawa Canada at our air museum...not sure of its flying status? static display?, prototype?
