Calling all C3's Post your vette
"Men either chase younger women, or buy red sports cars.... "
"Spend as much as you want on a car she said to me !!!"
I didn't need to be told twice!
I spent 2 years looking for a 69 manual big block vette.
Had to be red, and had to be in good condition.....
Couldn't find one which fit the list (this was 10 years ago)
I found this '68 auto in 1998 (pictured below) , with A/C, power steer, power windows and brakes. Body was excellent, suspension and chassis was good, but interior needed work.
Got most of the parts from US suppliers.... MAD and Ecklers.
(Wish I knew of this site before I lashed out and bought the Custom Autosound Radio/CD system though... 'cause it is a crappy POS)
Vette is really only a toy brought out for club runs and cruises to our local wineries on weekends. Only has minor mods (carby and headers) but runs reasonably sweet and looks the goods.
But my daily driver is a 500HP turboed 4 litre ute (I think you call them sports trucks).
Unfortunately I'm finding the vette doesn't appeal to the other persona in my head (I must be "schitzo"
) I NEED MORE POWER !!!Can't decide whether to go big block, or stroked small block ???
Exchange rate US / AUS is quite good at the moment, so a crate motor is likely the way to go.
ozzytom
PS can you pick the major anomaly in this 1968 convertible ?
