Default Different seats

Say I had a crome bumper shark but I wanted some racing seats from say...corbeau or something. Anyone around here done something similar? Or taken C5 seats and dropped them in? How difficult is it? If so lets see/hear about it.

Custom seats are very common. C5 seats have been done many times...just search for the threads...but be aware that they are very expensive. I installed '01 Celica GT seats...very race like and cheap. I've heard a long list of good seats...so I would just suggest searching all the brand names in the search function and seeing what you come up with.

corbeau seems to be the best for the money. Id also look at the later c3 seats. They seem nice and deep. Maybe some new GTO seats.

I have C5 seats and love them but they are not a drop in solution.
As D-boy said search the threads and you will find lots of info on this. check out this drop in solution

http://www.speeddirect.com/index.aspx?nodeID=8

If this had been available when I did my project there is a good chance I would have used them.

Wow those are pricey. I personally would just get some other car's factory seats for a hundred or so, and modify them yourself to fit.

As I said, this is a drop in solution. The only one I know of but it does come at a price. for those with more green than mechanical ability
FWIW, I have more than that in my C5 seats, seat relay, and 2 tone leather covers

Yeah, but C5 seats start out a lot more expensive. I got my Celica seats for $110 shipped to my door.

Thanks, the late model Celicas and MR2s all had these seats. They are hands down the most comfortable bucket I have ever sat in.

Now, being as they came in these two Toyota models...they also come in some cool colors, and leather materials. I think you can get them in a tan or saddle leather, as well as GT black leather.

I have an 04 vert that has the same seats I put in mine. I was pretty much hung up on having these seats in the 2 tone with mellinium yellow to match the paint job but I must confess, I spent way more on this setup than I probably should have. Could have saved over a grand using those seats and they probably sit a little lower and actually fit better.

The Celica seats do have a slight height increase over stock, BUT they have an adjustable seat cushion height, so dropped all the way it's maybe only .5" higher.
