Check out lot #114, a Camaro RS/SS recreation. Wow, did I get blasted a month ago when I posted about seeing one in person...HHHmMM...guess they they are re-creating a copy of an original one.
By the way, it's still at my buddys shop, dead guys brother has not come to get it.
Ah crap, the dam car is still there... Your absolutly correct, I forgot we cleared it up last time, it's a 69 Z-28 with the Trans Am ordered option. Here's a couple of pics I promised...
302 dual quads,off road cam,headers,4:10 posi,4 wheel disc,hide headlights,HD suspension,a bunch of guages....
I just wanted you all to see it...
Pics were up yesterday and it is a beautiful car.
Got to be a blast driving the cross ram 302, though I still don't know what the "Trans Am Option" is.
Where? And the other members cleared it up for you. You fought it as an Rs/Ss/Z28 to the end
Your right about me being wrong on the rs/ss thing, I was just joking around in the early post.
Trans option, as I was told, is rear disc brakes(the only way to get them was with TA pkg),hd sway bars,4:10 posi,a rack of guages,M-22 and I forgot what else....
I'm the owner of two 69 SS Camaros and have been active on www.camaros.net since 1999 and I've never heard of a "trans am" option nor is there any mention in the "White Book". Also, I believe the cross-ram cars were all Norwood builds and this an LA built car. HD Suspension? If it's a real "Z" it has a more HD suspension by default. Nice car and 10-10 paint code is cool (tuxedo black) and a bit rare,..GM hated painting anything black in the day,..showed too many flaws. But this is a clone,..the guy has a lot in it or so it appears. But cloning is big biz in the first gen Camaro game,..in fact I'll bet there are more 69 Z-28's today than were built in the 1969 model year,..and let's don't even talk about COPO cars.

It's sad but true. I'm sorta looking around at Z/28's and even though I am no expert, I can tell right from the start if a car looks legit or not. If I ever find the car I'm looking for, I would find someone like Jerry McNeish (sp?) or Jerry himself to take a look first.
73 dark, Check around on your Camaro forum for more info, I'm very curious. The man that passed away had some sort of certification,I'm not any expert or trying to pass anything, just think it was cool. He did pay 167,000 before the restoration, course could of been lying, who knows. See what you can find out, supposed to be 16 of this package known.
