anybody know????
o.k., got that covered.
now, took my truck to a Ford dealership today (sorry, guys). anyway, they use Enterprise to provide their rental cars. they gave me a "real" basic Saturn. roll up windows, manual locks, no cruise. it did however have a nice stereo with a CD player, power steering and power brakes.
got me wondering. i haven't had or seen a car with roll up windows in a while. how common is this nowadays? is Enterprise ordering their vehicles this way to keep the costs down?
made me wonder about other things too. can you get a GM, Ford or Chrysler car/truck WITHOUT power steering or power brakes???? or is this one of those things mandated by some federal law now for consumer safety, etc.?
Heck, can you still get an "engine with wheels" like we used to say. No power nuthin', no stereo, no A/C or heat, no carpet, etc.? How "stripped" can you even get a vehicle these days?
any info appreciated.
