Default $2500 for a 74 vette

A friend of mine watches the repo auctions here in Michigan and came across a 1974 vette up for auction for $2500. Here is the link if anyone is interested. http://www.biddingatauction.com/list...mnum=817947980 . The auction ends Jan 04 in Byron Center Michigan. There are pics on the web site.

First of all the VIN # doesn’t make any sense. Check this out.

173734S425809

Position Character Description
1 -1 Chevrolet Division
2 -Z Corvette
3 & 4 -67 convertible
-37 coupe
5 -* Engine type where * is replaced by the following
o -J = ZQ3 350-cid V8, 195-hp, 4-barrel
o -T = L82 350-cid V8, 250-hp, 4-barrel
o -Z = LS4 454-cid V8, 270-hp, 4-barrel
6 -4 1974
7 -S Assembled in St. Louis, MO
8 to 13 400001 to 437502 production sequence

The second character should be a "Z" not a "7"
The fifth character should be either "J", "T", or "Z", not "3"

Next would be price! $2500 is not too bad, but if the car has spent it's entire time in Michigan, then I would check the frame. Just looks weird!
