It can be done. A friend of mine always plated his M/t valve covers years a go to prevent always having to polish them. They looked awesome. You need to find a plater who can chrome aluminum......

Yes you can have aluminum chrome plated. Its a little more expensive because the aluminum need to be zincated first or else the copper, nickle and chrome will not adhere to it. Make sure who ever plates them has a good idea of what their doing.
