It's got cool lines but...
I think it would be more attractive being more suttle, like having high HP, an amazing updated suspension with less of a bling look.

I agree...I keep looking at the F/S 59 Elkie's that keep popping up in the local shoppers. I couldn't figure where the 57 came into play...yuk! I never would have thought it was in the whole dang front end...thanks Stavanger

It's the skinny tie, fat tie theory. Hang on to anything long enough and it'll come back in style (or lack there of)..... I don't mind fins, but I like them best on the original designs.

I love the 57 Chevy and the 59 is fine. Vettes, of course, are the best. I also like guacamole, chardonnay, and halibut, but I've never put them in a blender together!
BTW what part is 58?

Those 59's were designed before wind tunnel testing days. My uncle had a 59 and there was so much rear lift at 70 MPH from the fins (more like wings) that the back end of the car got squirrely.
