Default temporary stable mate

I am restoring the interior in a friends '68 vert, it was bought as you see it there are many boxes of parts. I looked thru the boxes and most parts seem to be there. noted missing parts--- the center a/c bezel, I have the chrome metal center register but no housing, also the steering column trim (the part closest to the dash) I looked at a few suppliers and did not find them. I am sure I will ask you 68 members quite few questions. one year only parts look like they might be hard to find.

I must be crazy

Must be a good friend, you got your hands full now. I love your garage, I guess if I had such a nice shop I would bring in friends to.

Welcome to the '68. I love my girl.

AC vents are one year only for '68, but most of this concerns how the vents mount behind the panel. The '69 up panel will work. I got one off ebay.

You will also need the U shaped piece which frames the vent and mounts to the dash pad. I did not see it in your pictures.

Order a reproduction owner's manual if you don't have an original and order the '68 AIM. The AIM will become your best friend.

Looks like your girl has 411 dark blue interior, same as my sweetie.
