i have a 1980 l-48 car. i need to know how many gallons of gas the stock tank holds? thanks

I think that number is pretty close, though it may be more like 18. something or something. For gernal argument 18 is good!

The owners manual says 23 US Gal.

From 1978 fuel capacity increased to 23 gallons...if bladder is ok....

i just bought a new tank for my 73 and the catalogue advertised that it's a 24 gal tank, yea right, it took 17 gal

Must be a misprint in the catalog

The 78-up were re-designed for the bigger tank and may have also something
to do with the fastback glass. Don't think there is any room for the bigger tanks
on the the 68-77
