Default 69 AC Hose replacement

I need to replace the AC hose in my 69 small block vette that connects to the back of my AC compressor which also connects to the condensor. The third fitting is down low in front of the heater box on the passenger side. This fitting has turned out to be a tough fitting to get a wrench on and when you do you can't get any torque on it to turn it. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions on who to get that fitting loose. A guy at work suggested a crows foot type wrench and that might work. I don't have any crows foot wrenchs so I will have to purchase them and getting torque on this with a 12" extension may still not work weel. This fitting takes a 1 1/4 inch size wrench to get on it. The only other thing I could think of is to cut the fiberglass inner fender to gain access, but that seems a bit harsh to replace this AC hose.

I am facing this problem right now. Since I have to also replace the compressor I decided to also replace the drier. The nut is impossible to get at so I cut the tailpiece of the drier and pulled the hose up out of its little compartment so I could get wrenches on it. This is on an 80, don't know how yours is put together.

Have you tried to get at it from underneath?

I would be hesitant to cut anything.
