Default Help decoding block number

Hey, all.

My block is original and has the VIN# followed by the following - V03IIHT. The second "I" may be a "T". Can anyone tell me what it translates to?

Thanks,
Q

Nope. Your engine was assembled at Tonawanda on April 1st. It was then shipped to St. Louis before your Corvette was assembled.

Check the Time/Build date on the trim tag. If your car is I01 and your engine is 0401, you'll need to determine why they are the same day.

Close, but correct since the engine assembly date must predate the time/build date on the car.

Engine assembly date on my sweetie is 4/9/68; time/build code is I20 for Saturday, April 20th but she probably wasn't finished that day. My girl came along after your car, but I'm betting your car had already been shipped by the time my girl was driven out to the lot.
