I own a 75 convertible with 33,000 orig. miles. Car is in very good original shape mechanically and has very good original soft and hard tops and interior. Body is also very good but has new bumpers and paint (original color). I am 2nd owner and I have had it 15 years.
Questions:
Should I sell it and if so where?
Should I mechanically update it and try to make it an original looking driver?
Should I put it away for another 10 years and then decide.
I am interested in some input from the group.
Don't need the money or the space necessarily, I just don't give it the time it used to get. 20 month old daughter changed the dynamic. I would want the car to go the right buyer if I did move it.
I bought a 75 for 10.5 its 42 k miles needed bumpers plus paint and im drivin it .Its a greatt looker and it sat for almost 15 years in A garage.I dont think it will go up in value that much as the production #s for that year are HIGH. not much help but keep vetin.

The question is: do you want to sell her?
...Should I mechanically update it and try to make it an original looking driver?...
Entirely up to you, but maintaining her in the best shape possible, and stock, will add to her value.

I wouldn't do much too your '75 if you want to sell it. If it's pretty nice, just keep it the way it is. The fact that it's a convertible is what will drive the sale. I don't think the '75's will appreciate much in the future. There's too many other Vette years more desirable.
They have not apreciated much in 30 years. Not that I have a crystal ball BUT you might be better off with the money in hand now. Sounds like you might not have much time for it anyway.
If you were able to still use it, I would keep it. That is what they are for.
If you are interested in selling I might be interested in buying. I have been looking for a low mileage, original '75 ragtop and would like to discuss with you. Please send me a private email if you would like to discuss. BTW- I am not a dealer. Thanks.

I can't agree with that.
1975 is, in fact, the LOWEST production convertible since the coupes were first introduced in 1963. Plus it's the LAST C3 convertible. If it happens to be an L-82 it's even rarer as these were only offered for 7 months in 1975.
If any Corvette is poised to have a stellar future value, it's the '75 convertible.....especially a two owner 33,000 mile car.
If you can afford to put the car away for a while, I recommend you do it.
Best,
Greg

'75 verts have been demanding and getting premium prices for awhile now. Gonna keep going up.
A really underpriced right now Vette is the '74 vert with BB--those prices are going to be soaring soon.

I've had mine for the past 7 years, am the 3rd owner and it has 104,000 original miles on the odo. I show it and it's a daily driver. Every year (for insurance purposes and for me) I get it independently appraised...for the past 5 years it has gone up about 15% each year. Today I have it appraised at $34,500....and my insurance (State Farm) agrees to pay in the event of (GOD FORBID) totaling the Vert.

If money and space are not a problem, put it a safe place and hold on to it. Two reasons....You may want to take it out for a spin once in awhile, And it sure would make a great COLLEGE graduation gift for your new Bundle of joy!!!
And if she happens to turn her nose up at it, sell it to her boyfriend(insert future Husband) for two times what it's worth and rake him over the coals for stealing your little girl away from you!!! Great way to start a Father in law, Son in law relationship!!!

Get an appraisal and a professional inspection to determine value and originality...and it might cost you more to maintain or fix things that may go wrong over time if you store or drive it.
Noone can garauntee you'll make a profit unless you get an offer from an overanxious buyer with deep pockets so you might as well try to sell if you don't have a passion for it.

Nice looking ride! My next one is going to be vert for sure!
