When I turn on my reg. headlights I have nothing. When I click on the brights all four come on. What can I check.
Also, my pass. side rear blinker and brake light won't work. The bulb just glows but won't blink or brake. I know it's the correct bulb. I took the one out of the other side, that works, and put in the other side and it won't work.
The headlights are my main concern for now. I'm tired of not wanting to drive at night or having people flick their lights at me.
Thanks

Sounds like you have a bad headlight switch, a bad wire connection, or the low circuit in the outside bulbs is burned out. Are they the stock incandescent bulbs or have they been replaced?

You can also try replacing your high beam switch located on the floor- it installs with 2 screws and one harness plugged into it. try replacing that first. it's an easy step to take and eliminate as part of your problem.
What year? (fill out your profile). Early had switch on floor, later had switch on column with a link connecting the switch to lever on the column. Is it hooked up?
I know the floor mounted ones would like to seize up. Even more so if you drove it in the snow. Your boots get all full of snow and water and then you go stomping on the switch. What a bad design idea
I have the floor mounted switch if that turns out to be the problem. It's from CA so it's still in great shape
It's a 79. Bright light switch is on the column. The bulb isn't the problem. It has come on before. In fact couple of nights ago I was driving downg the road and tested it on low beam and it was working. I pulled over to check and sure enough they were working great. I drove just a bit further, they blinked, and went out. I had to resort to brights again. It's like there is a bad connection somewhere. The connections to the bulbs are good, what else could it be.
I'll go now and fill out my profile.
Thanks.

I have my handy-dandy Corvette Electrical Troubleshooting Manual out and it says "If only the HIGH BEAM or LOW BEAM lights come on, suspect the DIMMER SWITCH." The dimmer switch is located on the lower left side of the steering column.Since the High Beams work, it's probably not ground related, but check anyway. Follow the black wires from the bulb connectors to find the ground lug and check for corrosion and looseness.
