Default Why do people do multple posts on different forum websites?

I have noticed that after browsing the C3 sections here, I'll make my way to the "other" Corvette Website and find the same people making the exact same post over there?

I kind of understand if it's a troubleshooting tech question, but usually it's ebay links and off topic stuff.

I browse this forum 90% of the time and make my my way to other sites hoping to find something different, only to find pretty much duplicate posts.

Just wondering...........................

He wants to know " Why do people do multple posts on different forum websites?"

Why? ...running up post counts, perhaps a craving for attention... I rarely post on other corvette forums, this place is #1 and then there's a whole lot of nothing....

Are there really other Corvette forums that stay in business? I tried one before I found this one, and a post of mine went a full week with only five views and NO replies. I came here and solved all my problems at that time in one afternoon.

I use one other forum besides this one and I do tend to post the same threads on both , these posts are usually "what do I do about this?" type of questions and I post in both places to get a broader selection of opinions/responses . It just helps to get a better concensus as to the way to solve my problem.
I agree that this is the most active forum out there but the other forum I use has a small band of regular members that are just a great bunch of guys that have been a great help to me in the short time that I have had my vette.

I still go over to CAC in the C1-C2 section. A bunch of guys got kicked off here or didn't like they way things were going. Lot of good engine/mechanical guys over there.

I also hit the Chevelle, Chevy Talk, Mustang and Jeep forums too.

Thats the point I'm making, I totally understand the "tech" stuff. We all need a little extra help every now and then.

I'm basically reffering to Ebay "what a joke" or "Look at what I found" type threads.

That's just a way for a guy who's bored at work or at home to reach out to others with similar interests...like long distance company.

A few of "our" CF members hang out there - I knew about TT and Wesch but I was surprised that GrandsportC3 speaks German..... ....

Edit:
DB, they seem to allow any avatar over there :-)
