Default Electrical Help

No power to fuse panel? How does fuse panel get power?, from one large wire? Are there any fuses from battery to fuse panel? I could not find any fusable links on larger wires. I have traced every where I can so far with no luck. I have power to alternator and starter.

Books? Sources for help, gasoline, match..... Dang I am tired at looking.

Thanks

On my 78' power comes off the starter solenoid (red wire) and has a fusible link then goes to the fuse box. I would say you popped the fusible link.

At the battery terminal on the starter- there are 2 wires that hook on the same post as the cable. THey LOOK like 10ga wire, but are actually fusible links. One or both have burned. Take a test light and go to the alternator output. If it lights up, go to the heater Hi blow relay see if it lights up there. go to the starter, see if it lights up on the cable, Pull on those two wires about 6-8 inches away from the starter. I'll bet one or both will pull easily apart.

Duke94 , TimAT, you guys are both angels. After 7 hours of lookings you solved my problem in less than 5 minutes. Links were not blown, I had not plugged the connector for starter. I wanted to verify wiring on starter before I do something stupid
I told my wife this morning I am selling the dang thing! Tired of screwing with it.

Both you guys PM me with your UPS addresses and I'll send you both Vette Cap.

THanks again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

God Bless

Terry
