Wheel experts please, I have a bit of a dilema...non-corvette related for once.
My lease on my Chevy Trailblazer is over October 07. This truck is amazing in snow but the tires are bald. I don't want to buy new tires if I'll be turning it in in 9 months, I'll be giving the new owners brand new tires, and I can't do 4x4 burnouts to get my full use of the tires before then, I wish.
I have a 87 dodge dakota pickup with its useless one wheel drive that I drive when its not snowing. (stupid lease miles are almost up, never lease again) The dodge tires are also bald.
My dilema, since both trucks need new tires, I would like to buy the below rims for cheap with a great set of winter/all season tires. Would like to be able to install the rim/tires on my chevy trailblazer for the winter and then be able to install the same rims/tires on the Dodge once the winter is over. and put the stock bald tires back on the Chevy and return to the dealership. I noticed tonight that the Chevy has a 5-lug pattern and the Dodge has a 6-bolt lug pattern. Is there an adapter that I can install on the dodge to adapt it to the 5 lug chevy? Please say yes! The rims below are just the brand & style, not size or lug pattern, just wanted you guys to see what the rims would look like. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Get on Ebay, and do a search for adapters. Then, send an email to all the ones that seem to make their own. Ask them if they can make the pattern to pattern adapter you need. I found when I used to need odd adapters that they can make almost any adapter. Expect to pay about $200 at least for four custom adapters. I had to have a set of Dodge 8 lug to Dodge 5 lug made, and it was just under $300.
Hey, I'd love to see the change when you do get the rims and tires mounted.
Unfortunately I don't think that is going to happen.
I must have contacted every seller on ebay who has wheel adapters and none of them can help me with the chevy to dodge conversion. I have yet to hear back from the company you mentioned, they are my last hope.

That's so odd. I emailed four or five guys that all made their own, and were able to make almost any adapter for the right price.
