I am planning to swap the 350TH auto tranny in my 80 L-82 350 ci with the Muncie 4-speed in my 67 327-350...
Before anyone bashes me for what I'm about to do to a show quality 67, please realize the 67 is a family heirloom of sorts and we are not the least interested in resale value of the 67.
I will be selling the 80 after the swap, but my main interest in this swap is this:
The frame rails and auto tranny cross member for the 67 and 80 are the same, correct? Will I be able to use most of my existing parts to do the swap (cross-member, clutch, flywheel, driveshaft, etc.)?
I will be adding a transcooler to the front of the 67 radiator, but other than that, can anyone offer any problems I may encounter?
Thanks from a newbie to the forum!
Thanks for the advice. I would go for the overdrive, but I would prefer to use what I have to save a few bucks.
Any ideas on the "swap-ability" of such a project?
I'm looking for any info I can get, so thanks again for the replies.

This has been done a lot even in the few months I have been here. I would suggest the search function. Use the advanced search, click archives, and search for TH350 and your 4-speed, and swap.
