Here you go

v=flint engine plant
01=january assembly month
03=3rd day assembly day
hv=passenger car 350 with 255 horsepower and a turbohydramatic 350

3932386=1969 block,chevrolet documentation shows that this block was 4 bolt only but according to my chevrolet by the numbers book, 2 bolt could exist as well.

L128=casting date.L=december
12=12th day
8=1968

Hope this is what you are looking for

Can someone else check this to make sure this is right...

I have a 1969 350/350 manual

thanks

Is it possible it could be a HW???? I heard these were stamped by hand.. My old man vows this is the original engine....

Will my Vin fall into a certain range that would confirm that its the right engine???

No HV codes for '69s. Last Corvette use for HV was 1965 327/350hp. My Chevrolet V8 pocket guide lists HV for a 69 350 for use in passenger cars.

Check your number again to make sure the code is actually HV. The VIN derivative should also be stamped on the pad.

I checked my book tonight and could your letters be HY because in 1969 this was a corvette 350 with 300 horsepower manual transmission and a rochester 4bbl carb.

All your dates seem corect,block is correct.Have you found the vin stamp?

Let us know how this turns out.
