Fatmat (Rattletrap) Smells?

Fatmat (Rattletrap) Smells?
I just installed Fatmat (actually the thicker Rattletrap). Man, it sure makes the ride really quiet....but it smells if the car is shut up for a day.
Will the smell go away soon or will it get worse once the hot sun heats up the inside?
Anyone else used it?

FatMat is one of the cheaper sound deadening materials on the market, and while it's not supposed to have an asphalt smell I must admit I too have smelled it. Heat will bring this out more...but it won't be so bad after a few weeks.
I've never used Rattletrap, but I imagine it's just a modified version of FatMat.

Yeah I checked it out...they just don't say anything about residual smells.
