This is on my block:
3970014- used for 1970-75 I believe
driver's side casting-K675-(Nov,6 1975)?
pass side-TG CON V2 -this I'm not sure about
numbers on front pad are gone from when resurfaced during rebuild.
this what I got off the heads, same both sides-W D12 94 NH S/R 1-052
Here's what your block is. Couldn't find your engine code. Should be 3 letters like "CDH". It would help if you could get the head part number. You will need to pull a rocker cover.

Thanks in advance!
I did some research on the CONV stamping years ago and couldn't find any definitive info about it....so I gave up....reasoning that if it was as important as casting dates and numbers, then someone would have sorted out the meaning by now
The CONV stamping dates back to really early Chev motors and I found this quote from a GM History website:
In 1929, the first incidence of the “CONV-“ mark appeared on the 6-cylinder engines. This mark appeared on Cylinder Blocks and Heads and was repeated in 1930, 1931, etc. However, it appears that not all known 1929 castings have this mark. It is therefore an unsolved mystery [at present] as to what it represents. Inlater years “GM” was also cast in.
So really, the CONV stamping isn't going to tell you anything about your motor.....
Thanks guys, I do have the Corvette by the numbers book and did see this page for the casting numbers. It's the TG CON V2 I'm curious about and if this is a 1975 L-82 block, or if not what then. And according to MorTec this block was used from 1970-76.
