Default 68 Head light Bar

I removed the head light bar on my 68 coupe for get rid of the rusted rivets that were causeing bumps on the nose of the car. New my quistion is, where can I find new rivets to reinstall the bonding strip to the bar. All I have been able to find so far are the aluminum ones. Are these ok to use or is there a better way to do this. Thanks for any help you guts may have. Manuel

A lot of guys convert the thing and never have to worry about rivets again. You have to install a bonding strip anf then glue the header on that and fill in the holes.

So the metal will bond just fine to the bonding strip? What type bonding would you use for this then? Thanks

Sure, thats how late c3's were done. 3m Panel adhesive will work. Glue in the bonding strip and then the header bar

Fusor has a metal to glass bonding adhesive. Thats what I used on my 73. No need for a bonding strip. Forget the rivets.

Remove the rivets. Keep the bonding strip (without the rivets) if it's otherwise in good shape.
