Default Paint?????????

Hello on my 1977 corvette with red interior I am thinking about painting the car. Where should I go? Macco? Earl Shribe? I don't know.

Then I want it white paint color but I want 2 black 12 inch stripes down the center, is this possible?

I had maaco paint two of my old cars. They did a pretty decent job. You can look hard and see a little dust and orange peel in the paint but it has held up for 2 years even in the Texas heat. If your vette is a daily driver I am sure it would look decent. A lot of the Maaco paint quality is in the prep that is done. You get what you pay for. If that all you can afford to make your vette look good then go for it.

If your thinking of going to EARL SHIBE, you might as well paint it yourself with a PAINT BRUSH,
it will look better........and anything you don't remove or tape off before you bring it there, they will paint over..........A CORVETTE.........." I WOULDNT " !!!

If you do all the body prep and remove anything you dont want painted, maaco does OK for the price. If you get the base/clear package with an extra coat of clear you can wet sand and buff it out to make it look much better. I wouldnt do it to my vette but to each his own.

yes but tape is $10 extra.....

sir, do you want us to wash the vehicle before applying the paint ?? $6 extra

sir, do you want us to mask the windows or just roll them down ? masking paper is $8 extra....

If you do your own prep work and disassemble the car and remove everything you don't want painted then Maaco is ok.
