I can see the corner of it on the fuel tank when I point a flashlight behind the right rear wheel. Man, it is tight in there! It looks like I have to drop the spare tire carrier. I want to get this thing out in one piece. Any suggestions before I start?
The weather finally let us get out and work the body. Got the nose and tail pieces set and glassed in. More work today. Dang, it good to see the vette out of the shop!

You'd be better off to drop the tank out if you've got the sticker there. It's a very delicate document that has been sitting unprotected for years. Congrats on having one!
Take your time, you only get one shot at it.
Removing the tank is really no big deal, it's relatively easy.

I would snap some pics before removing it. Use a light brush to dust it off. go slow

Thanks for the advice. We are in the middle of the bodywork, so I'll go after it later.

I found mine while installing a new mono spring, i did'nt realize it was the tank sticker. I always thought they were on top of the fuel tank, but mine was on the front side. I got mine out in 2 pieces ( it had already started to tear), still able to read it, but very, very delicate.
Good Luck Al, really like your car

What a difference the weather makes. Got the nose and tail glassed in. She's looking like a car again. We are not going back to silver, but black. Still a lot of work left. We hope to have it done by summer. While we were waiting for the fiberglass to set up, we did some troubleshooting on the AC and found it works, and BLOWS COLD. Just a bad switch. More later..........

Your ride is beautiful. It's not too late to change the color on mine. I'll consider silver......nope, black will highlite the sidepipes!
