Default OT: Engine scan tool

Any recommendations for a home use automotive scan tool for checking/resetting engine fault codes? I had an Autoxray that worked good, but is no longer compatible with OBD2 systems.

I have a high-end OTC scanner as well as an AutoXray 6000. I tend to use the 6000 more because it's very compact and as long as you don't ask too much from it (and can live with the slow speed), then it's a pretty good tool for the home.

Honestly, there is so much out there that it's hard to make a solid recommendation since no one but you knows how you're going to use it. Kind of like asking what color pants you should buy. Plad works fine in most situations.

The OTC700 is a good, inexpensive unit from a quality company. I sell 'em for $99. OBDII and CAN compatable.

I'm interested. How about email me a factory OTC/SPX link to this unit? I don't find it on OTC/SPX site.

Don't know much about the OTCF/SPX website but you can go to the home office website (I'm a Cornwell Tools dealer in NJ).

Let me know if I can help.
