Does anyone have any idea if this was original equipment with the vettes? It's supposed to go on the a/c control panel.

Was this really supposed to be there? I've seen a lot of vettes w/o it so I wondered if it was original equipment.

On a side note...they fit in cars that didn't have them, and help keep dust and crap off of the face of the HVAC control...keeping it safe and looking great.
