Default Guys..I need some help...RH lower dash

I can NOT get this sucker to fit right. You know how its supposed to fit up under the dash pad, well the bezel side of the RH lower pad will fit up under the upper dash pad fine but by the middle screw hole, its already popping out from under the upper and by the right hand screw hole, about 1/2" of the RH dash pad is hanging out of the upper. There is no gap or anything but its just not clicking up under the upper like its supposed to. I have compared it to the original RH lower and I can not detect any measurable differences in the two but I'll be damned if that original RH lower doesnt pop right in place and line right up. I don't see anything that needs to be trimmed or anything...it just doesn't fit up under it.

ANY PICS OF REPRO, RIGHT SIDE LOWERS INSTALLED WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!

Ya I have had problems with just about all of my repro parts except for the upper dash pad. Sadly, the more I screw with the RH lower trying to get it in right and the screws started, one of the holes is already starting it get wollowed out. Pieces of $hit. I know I wont be happy with it though if I leave it as is and the right side of the lower is hanging out from under the upper.

Thats why I wanted to see pics to see if anyone else has left it like this?

I did a search but only found a couple of pics of this.

These lower pads are original. I just painted them. Even they didn't fit correctly upon reassembly.

I'm not at a point that I need to replace any interior parts yet but, but I know I will, my question is, of all the vendors out there selling repro interior parts, who do you guys think has the best quality, finish and fit? Is one vendor better than the other for specific parts ie; Zip for lower dash pannels, Paragon for consoles etc...

On your RH dash, I can't tell for sure or if its just the pic but...it LOOKS like yours is doing the same thing mine is doing. Notice on your screw closest to the bezel, the RH Lower fits up nice and tight under the upper, but if you look at the center screw, the top of the RH lower is hanging out under the upper, then if you look at the right screw, the RH lower is hanging out even more. Mine is doing the EXACT same, my left side fits in perfect, but the middle starts popping out and the right side its popping out bad. I mean it doesnt "look" bad but I know its not right. I can stick the original RH lower in and it fits perfect. I tried EVERYTHING to get the repro to fit right but...I can't find the problem, it looks identical to the original and there is nothing obviously different with it to make it hang out. I measured its thickness, distance from the holes to the top etc. Its all the same.. I eventually gave up on it and installed it as best I could. I just finished installing the bezel and cd player. Its definetly not perfect and knowing I have spent $4k on the interior, anything less then perfect is really going to bother me.

Yes, that is correct. You are not looking at repros either. These are the originals, for sure. The top dash is a Corvette America repro.

When summer comes I am going to try to "manipulate" the right side with heat and gentle persuasion. It actually does get up into the 90s here in July.
