Good afternoon Lads, while looking at Ebay I came across a 1971 LT1 with an advertised automatic. Now I think what the heck? The car is in Las Vegas (car dealer.... arg). This fellow claims one could buy an automatic LT1 in 1971 in Canada. I also noticed a lower rpm tach. It would be nice of my Canadian friends to chime in on this one.
Is it possible? I hate it when I allow others to make me doubt myself, it affects my confidence.
Now I thought I knew these cars. Any comments are welcome.
Go to Ebay and look.
My "Canadian" 71 LT-1 is a CGZ engine, 4-speed, no A/C and 6500 redline.
I would make sure that I checked with GM Canada for this car's paperwork
before I purchased this car under the assumption that it is an LT-1.
The LT-1 was available with the automatic only in the Z28, not in the Corvette.
The CJK suffix proves it's the 270hp base engine.
The guy is a typical used car salesman and is full of it.
Not a bad looking car, but not an LT-1.

I overlooked the suffix... stupid me. As usual you guys are spot on. I am so sick of people trying to pull misdeeds on Ebay. These guys are a couple of hacks. I have contacted Ebay.
