Hood Conversion
Has anyone here modified their stock hood (i.e. such as raised it 2 inches and glassed' it back in)? I was thinking about converting my stock hood into an L-88 hood merely for appearance. Just a thought. If any of you guys have modified your stock hood, post pics!

Yes i took my stock hood cut it and raised the back to almost 4 inchs,then reglassed it back in.

I had to raise the center of my hood about 1 inch to clear the intake pipes on my twin turbo setup. When I got it raised, it would have been too short on the back so I cut it off and extended the raised piece back to where I wanted it.

I dont have a raised hood, but am intersted in doing the same thing. Is it more cost effective to order one from ecklers for $600 +shipping or have it done custom? (i dont have the resources nor the skill needed in fiberglass to do such a task) I would have to pay to get it done.
