New cars were usually rolling into the show rooms mid to late August, Many dealers would have an open house to to show off the new models. It was an exciting time.
So to answer your question they would have been on display end of August or 1st week of September 67

The 1st day '68s rolled off the line was Friday, September 1, 1967 (45 of them). That was Labor Day weekend. Tuesday they resumed production. Not sure how long transport would take, but there you go.

Thanks, being that the 68 was a new model, i have read that they had ran into some trouble but have also seen the production numbers so i would assume by latter Oct early Nov they hit the showroom floors
