For some reason..durring my restore 72 LT-1...I did not remove or check internal'ly my sterring box. All I did do...was tighten the adjustment a tad. What a dummy!!! Anyway after 7K miles this summer...did I remove it a few weeks ago and sent it to forum member Gary (GTR1999). Gary rebuilt (blueprinted), the box with new gears & rag, which I reinstalled Sat. WOW! What a difference!!! no free play and responce...is an understatement So this is the way it was supposed to be... after, leaving the assembly line
Gary, you did and amazing job! Much appreciated. It's going to be another fun summer!!!! Needless to say, Gary came highly recommended (forum members), and I would also like vouch for him any day of the week. Gary is a true professional and has a spot at my dinner table anytime he comes to Cali... Muddy

A bit of a PITA but, definately, well worth it You'll have to get your self a new boot for the control valve...as the old one will never survive the pickle fork Muddy

Thanks for the support and I'm glad you like the feel on the box. Joe your box didn't require new gears like Don's did but I set up both to the same spec's I always use.
Enjoy the cars, the warm weather is coming- Don is always in warm weather!!!
