Default Electric headlights?

Has anyone done this conversion? I'd love to do this for my vette because one of my headlights always opens and closes slower than the other. Looks like a lot of work though.

I have done it to my 73. It is a nice feature and expensive, The motors alone 125.00 a piece. I made my own the brackets to mount the motors is the hard part. Harness and control module from a Trans Am The headlight switch from a C-4
It is cost effective to fix what you have.

Bringing this thread back!
Seeing how all of my actuators and relays are leaking and its over $100 each for reproduction parts I'm interested to see if anyone else has done this swap. (not to mention that my vacume canister is irreplaceable and if leaking, I'm SOL)

How much did it cost all in all and how difficult?
Doesn't look to bad but I'm not too happy about cutting the stock actuator mounting bracket to adapt to the electric actuators.
Wonder if its cheaper to do the electric conversion and get rid of all those darn hoses or replace all my hoses and parts.

Any opinions?

I am in the process of acquiring all of the parts. I bought the kit already and ordered the connectors through GM (I have them already). I am still hunting for the arms/motors (93-97 Firebird or Trans-Am). I have the controller module already which I found on eBay for $18. I got lucky, but do see them for ~ $49 pretty regularly. I have been looking for used actuator motors and will put the brass gear in to make them last. I'm looking forward to pulling a lot of those vacuum lines out of the engine compartment.

I did my own brackets ot of 1/8 aluminum plate. I did not have to cut the headlamp support brackets. I chose to buy new motors the actuator link comes with it. The harness and module I got from a salvage yard. Use a C4 headlamp switch.

Before (including overspray from Bubba's paint job):

After (including dust from spending all winter on a 4-post lift):

I fab'd the brackets and rods, bought the controller and motors from a '96 Trans Am on eBay.

I installed the Killer Lights kit about 5 years ago. I just haven't gotten the springs ironed out yet. They come down pretty hard.
