2-post asymetric here.... love it to death. Its from Autolifters of America, 8000 lb capacity, tested to 23,000.
My best advice is to ensure that whatever you buy is manufactured in the USA.
Pops and I got 'er installed in a day. Electrician was in the following day to wire it up... best investment we ever made.
I was just looking at these yesterday. Looks like you've got tight quarters...as I do. How's your head room? Did you have to go up or garage already built with head room?
What's difference between asymetric and non-asymetric?

I've got plenty of headroom... about 12' and my roof gets higher towards the back of the garage. I believe the lift was 11'-6" or something around there... and thats for the clear floor option (which I would highly recommend). The units with the cross bar on the floor are shorter, and will allow for lower ceiling heights. My head room is excellent. I can lift the car to the point where I can walk underneath without banging my head, standing upright... AND with the hood open. The building was constructed this way... its an old foundry, they used to make Ford bumpers from what I've heard.
Asymetric allows for much more flexibility when lifting, as in your car may be forward or backward a foot or two without any issues, rather than having to have the car spot-on every time. Makes life much easier.
Good luck in whatever you choose. Well worth the investment.
