what do you seriously say to a guy who thinks Honda it the BEST things sinse walking upright, and said "corvettes are over rated".......

I would say, yes, Honda's (Japanese cars in general) are very good reliable cars and are perfect for moms, senior citizens, and young adults who can't afford Corvettes.
Honda automobiles are disposable cars. You don't restore Honda's. Remember when Honda's first came to the U.S.? How many of those early years do you still see on the road? I can't even remember the last time I saw a '77 Accord on the road...yet they were everywhere in the late '70's and early '80's.
Owning a Corvette....you either get it or you don't. My affection started in 1958 when my future brother-in-law would pick up my sister in his 1953 Corvette (#14) and had to take me along as part of the deal (my parent's idea). I was 8 years old and hooked on Corvettes ever since.
Just tell him "they don't write songs about Hondas".
Tell him "..... in 10 years, that bucket of monkey-f*ck will have been re-cycled into a soup-can, but in 20 years, my Corvette will be even-MORE of a classic than it is today!"
i had a good laugh reading all of these! some people RAVE ON AND ON about how "hondas are now "american" carsn ove half of it is made in america" well that might be true, but they dont rate their engine in american units do they?
seriously speaking now, in Italy nobody would argue anything about a honda beeing superior or even at the same level of a corvette, of any year.
Corvettes over here (and for 'here' i mean Italy) are mostly seen as the american dream made as a car, instead a honda would only be an honest citycar
NEVER argue with an idiot, you will bring yourself down to his level, and he will beat you with experience.
That's pretty much it in a nutshell.... Do yourself a favour and don't get involved in the BS. I know sometimes it's hard to walk away but trust me you're better off.
