Default '69 Seats

Should there be a left and a right? My seats are both the same.

They're the same, interchangeable. No lefts and rights. Chuck

Mine are the same too! I've wondered if the passenger side was replaced.
Folding latch = both on the right
Shoulder strap hook = both on the right
Doesn't make sense!
Mine's an early 69, Nov. 12 1968 in fact. Maybe they only ordered right sides for a period of time?
Anyone else?

Mine are the same. I changed them around last year since the seat cushion was better. Wife wasn't to thrilled............

Build date = Nov 12, 1968 (D12)
Latch = Left on both seats (driver side is left)
Hook = Left on both seats (driver side is left)

Note: AIM shows hook should be left on driver seat and right on passenger seat. UPC1, F26

Mine are the same, also........I've never seen any different for '69; there are no separate lefts and rights listed.

Thanks for the replies. Mine is a very late '69 and I just wanted to make sure that the seat hadn't been replaced at some point.

Yeah, that's what I mean. Driver's side = left side. I was thinking standing in front of the car.
So it looks like the AIM is incorrect for 69, is that what you're saying?

No, I believe the AIM is correct ... my seats were changed from Vinyl to Leather at some time, and the hook was replaced wrong.
AIM further shows a left and right guide (hook), so the guide on driver side left and passenger side right makes sense ..
I don't use shoulder belts, so I never noticed it before ...
Will change around to correct sequence.
Other than the guide (for shoulder harness only cars), all other seat parts appear to be the same, left or right.
