i only have a doubt: the fuel filter iussue, they could have marked with the 4 the outer conteiner, the filter could easily be inside the steal cover...just a thought anyway.
I never go to those quickie place's. My sister-in-law took her honda to one when she was 24, single and really hot, oh what was I talking about??? Ya my hot sister-in-law took her 12 month old honda to jeffy lube for an oil change. She came to me after and asked if $300. was a rid off. They put all kinds of labor charges on the bill to check this, check that, top off radaitor, add to trans (not even a qt just add to trans) I think they claimed to chg a hose and put air in all four tires. I went over the j-L to talk to the owner/manager to get my sister's money back and to kick his a$$. He went over the bill w/me and said the shop did all the work & he pointed to a sign on the wall showing the hourly labor charge, which at the time was higher then most speed shops labor. From the look on my face and the fact that I'm 6'2" 210 lbs he calls over the biggest greese monkey in the shop to back him up. I called him a f%^king liar and I told the greese monkey that I was going to kick his boss's a$$ and did he have a problem w/that! The big guy looks at me and then to his boss and say's nope and walks away. That's when the manager who is still behind the counter called the cops..............
Exactly why I have performed all my own maintenance and repairs since 1974. On the rare occasions when I did have to take something to a garage for business vehical I felt "Bent over"
Perhaps Jiffy Lube should pull these guys Franchise License....unless the problem is furthur up the chain of command.
If you dont know anything about cars its easy to get ripped off. I take my vette to a Jiffy lube just down the street. Mostly because they can dispose of the oil properly..
Just try to get rid of your oil at a kragen or autozone or wherever..I have yet to find one that didnt have a "full" oil tank...yeah they have to take oil by law I guess, but there is no law that says they have to have an empty tank.
The kids at the Jiffly lube (and they are kids) love it when I drive the vette in there, they let me go downstairs and watch and advise the kid working down there, hell I'll bet half the pit monkeys they got know more about vette undersides than any 20 other jiffy lubes combined.
I have no qualms about going to this place, and will continue to do so. They vacuum out the car add air to the tires, check fluids - lube joints.. and ok they sometimes try to sell me slick 50 or synthetic, i just smile and say no...

Yep. Funny how that is. Every store around is always "FULL." Thankfully, The county Hazmat collection point is 1 mile away. I change my own. Tranny, that's a mess. I take that in.

The Autozone I go to puts a sign in the door when the tanks full. When I see this, I set my oil jug next to the trash can outside the door. Then I go in, look around or buy something. Then I forget the jug when I leave............
