Default Front air deflector?
I seem to be missing the front air deflector on my '82. What was the purpose of this item and would it hurt anything if I don't have it? I'm also missing the two little front spoilers (left & right).

Channels air up into the radiator. Your engine will run cooler with it mounted.

that pic is up side down and yes you need it. The two small rubber ones attach to the bottom edge of that

I drove my '80 with one mounted just after it came back from the paint shop. It overheated easily, even with a new 4-row aluminum radiator. Gotta' have one.

My car seems fine without the air deflector, but then again the auxiliary fan has been wired to run constantly by the previous owner.

If you buy them, you can still get them at the DEALER. Mostlikely, the ones from Hecklers will be non fitting IMPORT parts that fail or don't fit! Then you will pay for shipping BOTH ways and still need a set.

I think I'll just buy the LT-2 front spoiler from Vanacor instead of replacing the stock spoilers and air deflector.
