Default Need spark plug size info

This is for totally non vette related spark plug, but I need basic info

I need spark plug numbers, or brand (I dont care what brand, make, heat range, reach, etc)

that would take the typical 5/8 size socket to remove

Actually, if you can positively identify a make/model/size engine hat takes this basic size, that would be even better

Most ANY GM motors use 5/8" tools. Are there any other limiting factors? Maybe plug length? What's it gonna be used for?

all GM products, from 86 to present, maybe even earlier use the 5/8 plugs

Fellas,

Heres the deal. I wish I had my tools with me know, since Im embarrassed...............

I have done so much wrenching, its become automatic, so I just dont remember the actual size

Here is what I need, in basic terms, (not remembering actual sizes, and I could be wrong on the 5/8 thing

There are two basic size spark plug sockets out there. There is a large one, and a smaller one

I need spark plugs that would fit the larger one....Again, I dont care about heat range, or length of reach, etc

That being said, if you could tell me what make/models might cover this "large spark plug socket category" is enough.............

Chevys had a 5/8" and a 13/16" hex plug, depending on year. However, there is a lot of differences beyond that.

First there is heat range. Too hot or too cold and you have problems running, or even getting running.

Length is a factor. Some extend further in, which means in the wrong engine, the piston can hit the plug and could damage the engine.

You need to have more information than this.

I agree...what motor is this for? Any Oreilly or Autozone can look up the proper style plug for any car, truck, or lawn mower. Then it's up to you to decide on a brand. NGK is a favorite of mine.

Thanks,
As I said, Heat range, reach, etc is NOT factor in what I am doing.

13/16 is the answer I was looking for

I sent you an email responding to you about the 13/16" thing but that email address came back invalid.
