Default Truflex Bumper Covers

I'm looking to replace my old bumper cover with one of the new Truflex units from Zip Corvette. If anyone has any feedback on quality or fit, I'd appreciate your comments

Thanks
Ian

I have both the front and rear on my '75, and I’m very pleased. They look a thousand times better than the urethane ones that the factory put on, no waves at all. They hold the paint color well too; the bumpers remain the same color as the car. You just have to be careful not to bump anything with them as they will crack much easier than the stock pieces.

I had a body shop fit them when the car was painted, so I'm not sure how much manipulation was required to get them to fit properly.

Thanks for the comments. I've put the call into Zip and am waiting for their sales guy to call me back to place the order. My car has ahd a little damage done to the bottom corners of the front nose (looks like someone hit a parking curb) so I will have to perform a little bodywork to get the right fit with the nose.

Put front and rear on my 75 they fit and look great I used my old hardware I just cleaned it up on my bench grinder. Get one of those ratchet wrenches to take the old hdw. off cut the old bumper off but ware gloves glass will still get in your hands. even though it was molded.
Pre PB Blast the retainers this will also help.

I used the 75 front TruFlex bumper.
Great fit.
My hardware was totally rusted and nearly every stud broke off.
I replaced with the stainless steel "fiberglass bumper" hardware.

Good luck. If your car is rusty .. it will not be so easy to remove.

I just got my front one from Wilcox. Use the Forum member discount link: 73-74 bumper. $260 plus shipping.

Have you had a chance to look at the bumper from Wilcox? If so, how does it look? I had that link bookmarked and was thinking of ordering one next week.

Thanks,
Johnny

It looks very good. I think it fits better then the urathane one that was on there. They did a good job on trimming it out. I haven't got it painted yet but it should be better then the wavy urathane.
