Default Broken Studs

Previous owners of my 80 were ******** ..... I knew I needed new leaf spring, so I take off the cover, and there sits my leaf spring MOUNTING plate, held on by a WIRE

Well, it is there BECAUSE ******** BROKE off all three bolts inside the crossmember

I will need to drill those out, might have to remove it and take it to a shop with a drill press, but will need new bolts!!! I need and where do I get them, so I can fix this right.

Don't need the plate only the bolts........

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN GET REPLACEMENT BOLTS?
2- M12x1.75mmx90mm
1- M12x1.75mmx30mm
3- 7/17 lock washers

I would just go to the hardware store and get those bolts yourself. I have ordered hardware sets from Zip, Ecklers, etc before and gotten grade 5 hardware where it should have been grade 8.

I agree. You'll save a lot of $ at the hardware store. I bought all new bolts, washers etc...for the exterior items on my engine this weekend for about $15.00. A mix of grade 5 & 8 bolts that I could have bought from one of the major vendors for substantially more.

Good luck on those busted bolts. Been there, done that, decided not to use any more used bolts.
