76 steering wheel options

76 steering wheel options
I have the Vega wheel with tilt/tele and had almost started liking it until the Vette Expo in Houston recently. When I read the catalogs, I see options for all years but the 76. Are there any kits out there that will let me adapt a nice leather 3 spoke with tilt/tele and horn? I will keep the original in a box.

There are a few parts that are used in the 1976 (one year only) steering wheel, telescope lock, and horn parts that can be used when adapting a production 1977-82 steering wheel. This paper explains the differences and what new parts you need to obtain.

I installed a 1977 steering wheel and associated parts in my 1976 Vette with T&T just as soon as the 1977 model came out. I really thought that it was a vast improvement. Working in the Product Engineering Departmant at Saginaw Steering Gear Division back in 1976, the parts came pretty cheap. (And they were a lot easier to find.)
