Need help!!!

What does L-30 on my trim tag mean? It says Chevrolet L-30 trim 422 and paint 980. I know what the last 2 numbers mean but im not sure what L-30 means.

Month and day the car passed that point on the assembly line where the trim tag was attached. "L" usually means the 12th month of production. 30 would be the day of the month. The car would not have been finished when the tag was attached and would have required another day to day and a half on the assembly line to have been completed (longer if there was a weekend or a holiday in the mix).

What year is your car? '69?

I assume it's your 73'.
L= build month (July)
30= 30th day of the month.
So your car was built on July 30th.

422=Dark Saddle leather
980=Orange Metallic.
