hey everyone so i started an audio project for my 76. I couldnt find to many resources for c3 audio online so i decided to say screw it and jus started to build i wanted to see what i could come up with im about 1/4 way through right now and if it ends up working i should have aa nice looking soild box for about 20 dollars. i could not afford to pay 200 for a box that would just fit 6x9 and although a sealed box with 2 12s would fit in the back the ttops would not. What i ended up doing is raising the back about 3 inches which provides enough room to sink an amp audiobaun 6chanel. i scored the plexiglass to cover it for free. The three inces also provides enough height so it can utilize the back left stoarage comartment to fit a 12 xtant sub. If SQ will alow the box is going to be hinged, and is also going to house a pair of infinity 6x9's of 61/2 whichever depeding if the 6x9s are shallow enough the whole unit will then either be covered in vinyl or carpet still havent decided does anyone know how to enboss vinyl aside from foam and stitched because i want to put in corvette but i dont have the talent to ddo it that way but ya hopefully this will work out nice and anyone who has done c3 audio projects should tell me about them
Post some pics of what you have done. We love pics here. If you are unfamiliar with how to host and post pics, check out this link. It's free, and easy to do.
I mounted my amps on the back wall, on a backing board bolted to the wall. The box I designed to house both the subs and a component set, separated by speaker cups and baffles. Crossovers are IN the box with the component set.
Up front I have another component set, with 6.5" speakers in the kicks and tweets in the dash.
Head unit is a Kenwood Excelon D-mask, and remote antenna which I'll be mounting in the windshield area.
