Well with an iron manifold the casting date is on one of the runners and can be judged.
Aluminum manifolds have their casting dates on the underside and so would not be judged.

Checked again last night and the carb is 1238, intake E23, and body K11. I'm good to go. The intake was never in question, but the carb was suspect. There had been talk of that carb being replaced and not rebuilt in the past. It was the only "numbers" part I had a question about as it had the date code furthest from the body build date.
