$1500, simply because of the hard top.
Not $1500.01.

If there's no rust, if the flip front is well done (which it looks to be), and its otherwise complete, including ragtop, I'd probably go to $3k. But then again I've been accused of having more money than brains (guess who made that accusation ). I think it's a nice foundation for a custom big block vert.
That gas filler has to go, and I'd go with L-88 style head lights. I'd also modify or change the flares to L-88 style. I don't like those square rear flares.
In fact, if you don't want it, lemme know...

Well, I'm more of a purist myself. However, I must admit, you could do what ever the heck you want with that car, and it wouldn't bother me at all. I think I would make it some bad-a$$ street/strip monster with a screamin fuel injected 502! The body could look good with a few changes here and there. An inventive paint job, and lots of chrome under the hood. You would have a one-of-a-kind roadster. Just be prepared, buying the car is the cheap part! I dunno, maybe as much as $3 grand. Any more than that, you could buy a pretty nice early 6cyl Nova or Vega. Both would serve the street/strip well. But buy the Vette only if you think you will have the money to do the car right! That would be an interesting platform to let Chip Foose go-at-it with.

I kind of like it, the gas cp is easy to remove, cut off the flares and put on some decelt L88 flares, do away w/ the ugly headlights but keep the flip front. Too bad it's such a hassle getting a car here, I would love to be able to buy something like that.

Are these Hooker sidepipes ? The primary pipes on the driver side seem to be different than the ones I have, maybe BB headers ??
Maybe these are GM sidepipes (rare and expensive) ??
If the price is right I'd buy it.

If your trying to help someone set a selling price, you have my jumping off number. When can I see it?
If not, just buy it and tell us what a great deal you got. Or is he asking $25k and your trying to help him deal with reality?
Whatever the case, please stop, the suspense is killing me .
How much?

the car is for sale, i have not bought it yet but i am on the fence and still in negotiations with the owner....again i do not want to influence the opinions by giving a sale price, i am still in active negotiations with the owner and i have not told him i have no interest yet. i have looked at the car four times and three times in the last three days. last night i spent two hours on the car and jacked it up and crawled all through it and under it.....this car kind of grows on you....

just the parts to complete the engine installation, pulleys, water pump, drive shaft etc.....if you add the eng/trans the parts are there to complete it.
the body work looks and feels nice....even the fugly cap...there is every indication the car will shine up nicely
