Anyone have an idea how many were painted that color
Seems to be in pretty good shape with NOM and Automatic. Seems ideal for a driver.
Thanks

Who cares how many where painted that color?
It was a one of a kind year! consider it the 69 of the Camaro if you will..
First year for the urthene nose (only year to have that and the rear chrome), first year to have the single side vent, they have their own exhaust tips (even though you can probably put the 70 - 72's), their own wiper motor, first year to do away with the wiper door, it has a cowl induction hood, first year to do away with the removeable rear window
, and I do believe the grills were different than that of the 74 (If I am correct the 73 has the painted grills with the front edge of it being chrome while the 74 is all black. So basically it is a year that you can easily tell what year it is by taking look at it...
Earlier to day, I saw a 70-72 Gold Vette, I believe it to be a 71 ( thats if the front turn signal lense are clear for a 71), but I am unsure about that. With a 73 there would be no doubt!
68- 69 - 67,328
70-72 - 66,094
73 - 30,464
74 - 77 - 171, 738
78 - 79 - 100,583
80 - 82 - 112,627
Total C3's - 548,834
So if All the C3"s were around which they are NOT!! About 5.5% of them would be a 1973...
This by far makes the 1973 body style the rarest. Another thing to remeber is there are fewer and fewer each year. Why not have the most rare C3 out there... The 1963 is perhaps the rarest of the C2's, I bet those people who cut out the "split" in their rear window are kicking themselves in the teeth... While those who still have it are making more $$$. As of right now, the 1973 is way cheaper than the 68 - 72's, but I think one day collectors will treasure the 73 like the 63...
I am not trying to put down all the other C3 models out there because I love them all very much... I just think the 1973 will be a great investment.
