Default Who designed these things?

I thought I'd fix a couple "simple " things.

Yesterday, I replaced the plastic lens on the heating/AC control. Had to remove the smallest nuts and bolts in the world.

Today I replaced a door handle. My hands are shredded. It took hours to get the rod in the hole and then get that retainer clip in place.

Tomorrow I relplace a door spring . Can't wait.

The guys that charge 90 bucks an hour to do these things earn every penny. Some of the design work was done by sadists.

Been there...

I know this is a little late, but for what it's worth:

When you change the door handle remove the door latch first. It's only held in by three screws and gives your hand all the room in the world when it's removed.

...when you change the door spring, don't pinch one of your fingers off. It makes it hard to use a keyboard so you won't be able to tell us about it.

Best,
Greg
