LED conversion [PICS]
I may not be a grand mechanic yet, but I have electrical skills.
Well some of my bulbs dont work, and switching to LED's to bypass them entirely is far easier than ripping my dash apart, so I started with the shift indicator since my console is apart anyway.
I saw someone else say they used some 8mm LED's that simply replaced the bulbs. pish posh, 5mm white 21000mcd is how I go about it. I will be using four of these suckers per bulb socket. I can't even remember the voltage from each socket, but it was around 14v max I beleive, another reason im using four per socket =)
I was going to take some pics as I went along, but I was lazy.
The lit picture is running off my test source, which was a 12v line from my computer. Once I get home from work and its dark out I'll try and get a picture of it partially in place.
More will come as I do it

In the third pic it sure looks bright. Good work, you should never have to worry about replacing those again.

indeed, it is bright. I can't even find those LEDs anymore. LSDiodes used to stock them, but now they dont =(. I had another pic where the light wasnt flashing at the camera which was better, but it was refusing to upload properly.
I couldn't get a pic of it in the console because I lost my bag of screws, if someone could tell me the size bolt I need for this it would be great. Or at least if its machine/self tapping it would be good. Otherwise I'll just have to buy a ton and guess.
