Nice ride did a resto on a 64 stepside 3 on the tree a while back, another good souce is LMC trucks
Nice truck. It looks fairly solid too. I restored a 1950 dare I say FORD F-1 before the Vette. My dad bought it new but it sat neglected for almost 40 years before I restored it. Lots of fun and I learned a lot. Good luck with your new project.
P.S. Is your plan to keep it basically stock or to modify? I stayed mostly stock but changed out the rear to a Ford 9" with a 3.25 to replace the stock 3.91 stump puller.
actually planning on keeping it as simple as possible, i'm not restoring it at all. just making it driveable "rat rod" style. flat black primer, red wheels, whitewall tires. and calling it a day. hoping to have it done in 4 weeks, and under a grand.
I'd love to have one from the 50's. I've got a 70 shortbed stepside. In fact when I got home tonight my uncle had left a message that he knew of a cab for free for mine. Mine is a total rustbucket, but runs great, I drive it back and forth to the dump mostly, but would love to fix it up.
