What will happen if E85 gets popular ?

That tells me the future of E85 as a mainstream fuel is set for failure......
And to some extent, I kind of believe that...I mean, look at the ugly EV1 that GM put out. 100 mi. round trip capability, provided it was driven conservatively, before it needed a recharge, which could only be done at certain power recharging facilities, because you needed a special type of plug to recharge it. AND, that recharge took 12 hours! Hmm...Effective? Nope. And besides, who would want to get caught driving something that looked as hideous as that thing did?
As for E85, it's just as bad as the electric charging stations. California, supposedly one of the BIGGEST proponents of E85 flex fuels, only has *4* E85 filling stations in the ENTIRE state. One in San Diego, one in Berkeley at the Berkeley National Lab, one in Livermore at the Lawrence Livermore National Lab, and one in Lompoc, on Vandenberg AFB.
So, of those *4* stations in California, how much do you you want to bet that only ONE of them sells gas publicly?
E85 isn't gonna make it, I can tell you that. It's going to crash and burn a horrible death in the VERY near future.
